Version 0.6a In Beta
Do you want more features? Then help me test the latest Beta version which includes:
Add Flash and SilverLight, Options screen, Toolbar buttons and New images inspired by BeaverXI
Just go to the extension's page and just above the reviews look for the "Install beta version" link:

Known limitation in both FF 3.6 compatible versions:
* If you change the plugin enabled via the Add-On manager within Firefox (or any other method that is not within QuickJava) then the icons will not be updated.
I've done quite a bit of research and don't seem to be able to find anything that allows me to observe a plugin being enabled/disabled easily and don't want to put it on a timer. If you have changed the options elsewhere and want your icons to update, just right click any of the icons in the status bar (and in 0.6a click "Refresh Icons")

Wow Doug! I use QuickJava for years and this update was a great surprise! Many thanks for adding Flash / SilverLight / Images buttons. It also keeps up with the new UI trends of today's software. Congratulations.

Also, at some point I plan on putting it on BabelZilla to get localized to more regions but I want to make sure I have all of the prompts and such that I will want to have prepared before I do.
can you please make flash off by default. (and probably java too)
ReplyDeletei have little bandwidth, but I still need to view flash occasionally - but not everytime I open a page

ReplyDeleteI do not adjust user settings, I only make it easier for them to do so. If you turn flash/java off then I think they should remain off, even if you close FireFox and re-open it, until you turn them back on. These are browser level settings, I am not in control of them, I just provide a better interface, anything more is outside the scope of this project.
